Social media accounts are the cornerstone of the internet today. A social media profile on your phone app is actually first and foremost a website page. The page is the profile, and then converted to mobile and delivered through an app platform.

This means that every profile created is another page that Google can index and rank into their search results page. Since Google will place up to 2 pages a website into search results, it is possibly for even multiple profiles to rank on Google, pushing target articles down multiple positions.
